Embark is loosely inspired by Oklahoma City's new Tram system operated by Embark, the transit company. This piece has a consistent, neverending pulse, representing the consistent drive of the vehicle in motion beginning with a simple two-note pulse that expands over time, as I hope the tram system does in the future. Each sequence of notes builds on one another, and the individual performers choose when to move on from one note-pattern to the next.
